Fascist outbursts cancel student parade in Santorini

A case file with charges of endangering public order has been opened by the Police Department of Santorini for the incident that occurred in the village of Emborios on the island, during celebrations of the 28 October national holiday.
A group of people, according to the police, caused tensions about the fact that a student of Albanian origin would be holding the Greek flag in the parade.
Finally, due to the tension caused, the students' parade was canceled.
The incident, allegedly caused by members of neo-nazi Golden Dawn party drew condemnations from the government as well as all other opposition parties, which underlined that such fascist expressions do not belong in Greece, especiaqlly during the celebration of the country's struggle against the fascist powers in WW II.
