Port infrastructure in Greece is undergoing a radical restructuring, with investments which ought to have been made earlier, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said on Thursday in the ceremony for the conclusion of works to upgrade and expand the port of Agios Konstantinos.

Temporarily, the Greek cruise market and in particular some Greek islands have benefited from the tragic events in Israel according to estimates from industry players. The Greek islands will benefit, estimates the President of the Union of Cruise Ship Owners and Shipping Agencies (EEKFN) Giorgos Koumbenas, while the honorary president of the Union, Theodoros Kontes, expresses the same assessment.

Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis, in his intervention at the EU Foreign Ministers' meeting in Kyiv, referred to the "immense" repercussions of the collapse of an agreement with Russia for the safe export of Ukrainian grain via the Black Sea, especially for the supply of the countries in the global south.
