Twelve unaccompanied refugee children depart for Luxembourg

Twelve unaccompanied refugee children from Syria and Afghanistan departed from Athens International Airport on Wednesday morning, to travel to Luxembourg on an Aegean Airlines flight.
Alternate Migration Minister Giorgos Koumoutsakos, the Ambassador of Luxembourg to Greece Paul Steinmetz and the special secretary for unaccompanied children Irini Agapidaki were at the airport to say goodbye.

Greek president thanks Luxembourg’s Foreign Minister for solidarity with Greece

The President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos expressed the gratitude of the Greek public towards Luxembourg’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Affairs, Jean Asselborn, for his country’s role in Greece remaining in the Eurozone during the latter’s visit to the Presidential Palace on Tuesday in Athens.
