The Olympic flame started its trip to Tokyo after its lighting at the stadium in the archaeological site at Ancient Olympia, in the presence of President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos and IOC President Thomas Bach, as well as member of Japan's government.

The Lighting Ceremony of the Olympic Flame will be held without the presence of spectators, the Hellenic Olympic Committee said on Monday.

The "Flame of Hope" for the Abu Dhabi Special Olympics World Cup 2019 was lit today at a ceremony at 11:30 (Athens time) at the Zappeion Megaron.
