Greece’s creditors are expected to disburse the €800 million sub-tranche to the embattled country, following the first meeting between the lenders’ representatives and Greek government officials.

The European Stability Mechanism (ESM) will announce at its next meeting on October 24 the disbursement of the 1.7-billion-euro sub-tranche, when the September data for the state’s repayments of arrears to the private sector will be available, the finance ministry said in a press release on Monday.

The representatives of the eurozone Finance ministries discussed in a good climate during a EuroWorking Group meeting on Thursday the implementation of the prior actions that will give the green light for the disbursement of the 2.8 billion euro loan sub-tranche.
