Oli prices fall below $50 a barrel

The price of crude fell today below the symbolic threshold of $ 50 a barrel, for the first time since October 2017, due to worries about global growth and, consequently, demand.

Government will take measures if oil prices rise drastically

If the price of oil drastically increases the government will take the necessary measures, Environment and Energy Minister Giorgos Stathakis said on Monday, speaking to Real FM radio, responding to questions relating to the rise in international oil prices and the increase of the excise duty imposed on heating oil.

Oil prices continue to fall

The price of Brent crude oil in Asian markets was pegged at $ 55.92 a barrel at 7:19, according to Reuters. At the same time, the price of US crude stood at $ 48.45 a barrel.
