Key suspect arrested in Greek scandals

Banker Jean Claude Oswald, a key figure in the both arms scandal and the Siemens scandal was arrested and taken to the extradition prosecutor,.
According to Vima, Oswald was located in Abu Dhabi, where he was arrested under the European Arrest Warrant issued by Mr. Angelis.
The banker is accused of money laundering and was discovered in Abu Dhabi, where he was arrested under the European Arrest Warrant.
Previously his extradition had been requested by investigating magistrate Nikos Tsironis, and has been referred for the Siemens scandal by the last decree issued by the three-member Board of Appeals.
Despite the fact that Mr. Oswald has French and Swiss citizenship he had refused his extradition to Greek authorities, the prosecutor Mr. Angelis in cooperation with other judges managed to arrest him in the transit area in Abu Dhabi.
The banker was transferred today M.Defter, Holy Monday, with utmost secrecy to the Prosecutor in Athens, for execution of the warrant, and is being detained in police headquarters, and over the next three days he will appear before Mr. Tsironi to give a deposition for the armaments scandal.
Investigators expect much from Oswald's deposition, since he seems to know the addresses and names, of Greek government officials that received the kickbacks.
Oswald got a deadline until Tuesday in order to prepare his deposition.
