Thirteen drown in new tragedy off Farmakonissi

Thirteen people lost their lives, victims of a new accident at the sea region east of the island of Farmakonissi, when a 7- meter boat with 29 refugees aboard sank under unidentified circumstances early on Wednesday morning.
Among the drowned victims are seven children.
The Greek Coast Guard has managed to rescue from the waters 15 persons (13 men and two women), and in the meantime in full scale is the research to locate one more missing individual.
According to informations, three of the rescued (two women and a man) were in coma and were urgently transported by helicopter to the hospital of Leros.
