Event on the 75 years since the Battle of Crete

The conference entitled “75 years after The Battle of Crete – The struggle for memory and reparations” was organized by GUE/NGL with the initiative of Greek MEP Stelios Kouloglou and took place on Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at the European Parliament in Brussels.
The conference was a tribute to the historical Battle of Crete, when Cretans fought Nazi atrocities and defended Greek history during the Nazi occupation.
The issue of Greek reparations was also raised during the conference.
