Wildfire burns home in Keratea
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A wildfire that broke out in stands of woodland in Attica's Keratea region was under control, the fire brigade reported late on Thursday, but not before it had burned one residential property in its path.
A force of 62 fire men, 31 fire engines and a 24-person team on foot was still on hand in Keratea's Plaka region to fully extinguish the blaze that started on Thursday afternoon and quickly spread, fanned by strong winds blowing in the area.
