Photos of refugees by Pulitzer prize winner Yannis Behrakis at Athens Airport
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
In the photo exhibition "People on the Move," the camera of Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist Yannis Behrakis captures the plight of refugees forced to leave their homes in search of a better life.
The exhibition is organised by the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" in collaboration with Doctors Without Borders and will be on show at the airport's Art & Culture area in the arrivals lounge until February 28.
Behrakis' photographs are accompanied by audio recordings of the refugees themselves, recounting the sensational stories of their flight in their own words and highlighting the human dimension of those indelibly scarred by this journey.
