Snowfall in Attica!

Parnitha Avenue is closed from the the Zygos tavern to the casino, Pendelis Avenue from Xenia road to Dionysou Avenue while the road from Pendeli to Nea Makri is closed up until its junction with Dionisou Avenue. Dionysou Avenue is closed from the soccer field up until St Peter’s church, as well as St Merkourios street in the area of Variboby from Leonidas Tavern upwards.
The Pendeli peripheral road is closed from the 414 military hospital to Dionisou Avenue and the Elefsina-Thiva road is closed from the 4th kilometer.

Trucks are banned from circulating on the Athens-Lamia national highway from the Kaliftaki bridge to Shimatari and from the third kilometer of the Elefsina-Thiva road, towards Thiva. Cars can circulate only with the use of snow chains or snow tyres.

The two heated halls of the Athens Municipality in the areas of Koukaki and Pagrati are open to the public.

Problems in sea routes as well. No routes to and from Piraeus, Rafina and Lavrio ports, as well as from Agia Marina to Nea Stira, Keramoti toThasos, Alexandroupolis toSamothrace, Igoumenitsa to Lefkimi and Kavala to Prinos.
