President Pavlopoulos: Social rights must be protected
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The basis of the European law is the social rights and their protection, President of the Republic Prokopios Pavlopoulos on Wednesday said at his meeting with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe Pedro Agramunt.
Pavlopoulos stressed the important contribution of the European institution to addressing the major refugee crisis, an issue which, as he has said, it is not only Greek but European.
As the President of the Republic said, we need to protect the fundamental social rights and, above all, the social rule of law, which is one of the most important foundations of the European Union.
