Foreign nationals arrested with forged travel documents

Twenty four foreign nationals were arrested at the International airports of Heraklion and Chania on Crete when they attempted to travel abroad with forged travel documents.
The foreign nationals, aged 16 to 49, were from Syria, Iraq, Palestine, Iran, Mali and Sudan.
In their possession had fake documents allegedly issued by the French, Romanian, Italian, Bulgarian, Spanish, Croatian, Sudanese and Greek authorities. The country of their destination was Germany, Belgium, Italy, Switzerland and T he Netherlands.
