Greek exports to UK increase

Greek exports to the United Kingdom increased in the first half of 2017 compared to the first half of 2016.
The greatest increase was recorded in malt extracts, flour products(369.40 pct), chemicals (56 pct), copper tubes (41.32 pct), cables (36 pct), fruit (35 pct), grapes (32 pct), yogurt (29 pct) and food products (28 pct). In terms of imports, video game consoles and video game machines recorded the biggest increase (238 pct).
According to the provisional data of the UK office for national statistics, the Greek-UK bilateral trade volume rose to 899.7 million pounds in the first half of 2017 compared to 818.8 million pounds in the corresponding period of 2016, up 9.88 pct. The bilateral trade balance recorded a deficit of 35.24 million pounds, down by about 49.21 pct compared to the first half of 2016 ( 75.30 million pounds).
