Tsipras chairs meeting of government Task Force for investments

The government Task Force for promoting investments convened on Wednesday, with Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in the chair.
During the meeting, there was a discussion on the progress of Total's investment in two blocks west of Corfu, following Tuesday's approvals by the Court of Audit, and the course of Ferrovie's investment in TRAINOSE. The planned signing of the contract on Corfu on Thursday ensures the viability and expansion of the company's business and rules out a risk that it will have to return 692 million euros in state aid.
They also discussed the course of the negotiations with the miners and Eldorado Gold, as well as in administrative process to complete the investment at Hellinikon, on the site of the former airport.
Government Vice President Yiannis Dragasakis, Development Minister Dimitri Papadimitriou and Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos participated in the meeting, together with State Minister Alekos Flambouraris, government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, Alternate Economy Minister Alexis Charitsis, Alternate Finance Minister Giorgos Chouliarakis, Deputy Economy and Development Minister Stergios Pitsiorlas, Environment Minister George Stathakis and Transport Minister Christos Spirtzis.
