Migrant and refugee arrivals on the Greek islands peak in September

Migrant and refugee flows to the northern Aegean islands rose sharply in September, with over 2,400 people arriving on the islands since September 1, authorities reported on Monday.
The latest arrivals reached record numbers for 2017. Specifically, a total of 1,405 persons have arrived on Lesvos in September, 364 on Chios and 685 on Samos.
