- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
A fire that occurred late Sunday night in an underground parking lot on a 2-storey building on Demetriou Gounari street in Glyfada, came under partial control, on Monday morning .
The building where the fire broke out, houses the tax bureau of Glyfada, along with accounting and tax offices. According to information from the Fire Department, the fire probably started off in one of the vehicles parked in the parking lot. Cars have been completely destroyed by fire, but their exact number has not yet been known. Other information indicates that 9 cars were completely destroyed.
The fire brigade forces gave an all-night battle with the flames and managed to prevent the fire from spreading to the floors of the building, housing shops, offices and services of the tax office.
