Thirty two year old tax official stabbed to death in Athens cemetery

The murder occurred on Wednesday afternoon shortly before the cemetery closed. The murder weapon was not found.

The 32-year-old Dora worked in the 1st Tax Bureau of Piraeus as an auditor.

During her father's interview this morning, to a question if someone was stalking the 32-year-old, her father replied "of course," and even spoke of a hired killer.

The police are leaving all possibilities open, looking at both the scenario of robbery after murder and personal dispute, without being able to exclude the scenario of a maniacal killer.

The Independent Public Revenue Authority, where the unfortunate 32-year-old was working, is at the disposal of police for all information that will help in clearing up the assassination of Theodora Zembelis.

The Governor of the Independent Public Authority, Giorgos Pitsillis, said:

I spoke yesterday evening, as soon as I was informed of the tragic incident, with the Chief of the Hellenic Police and told him that our services are at the disposal of prosecuting authorities in order to provide any information that could help in clearing up this heinous crime.
