Parliament orders the forced presence of former HCDCP head
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The forced adduction of the former director of the Hellenic Center for Disease Control & Preventions (HCDCP) has been decided by Parliament.
In particular, the House Committee of Inquiry on Health Issues today decided to force the presence of former HCDCP Director Theodoros Papadimitriou. The decision was taken after Mr Papadimitriou's thrice refusal to come to the committee, citing health issues.
The members of SYRIZA and the Independent Greeks spoke about a mockery of the Committee and called for the immediate presence of Mr Papadimitriou at the next meeting.
So, if by next Tuesday, Mr. Papadimitriou does not come voluntarily to the House, police will be waiting for him to take him there forcibly.
Theodoros Papadimitriou is at the center of a string of scandals that include nepotism, financial irregularities, and funding specific media outlets.
