Greece-Cyprus-Jordan summit to focus on energy and Cypriot issue
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Greece, Cyprus and Jordan are expected to sign the declaration on the Cypriot issue and natural gas, among other agreements during the trilateral meeting between PM Alexis Tsipras, President Nicos Anastasiades and King Abdullah II of Jordan.
The trilateral meeting will take place in Cyprus. Athens believes the meeting is a continuation of its wider strategy of an active foreign policy initiated with its recent participation in various trilateral alliances in the south, including those with Israel, Egypt and Cyprus, and Lebanon, and Palestine. Greek diplomacy stressed the significance of Jordan in the wider region, as it acts as a stabilising force.
