Vanessa-Mae the voice for the Strays of Greece
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
In October 2017 members of the group ,The Ilioupolis Animal Welfare Union, had the honor and pleasure to meet in person the internationally known, British violinist, Vanessa -Mae at her concert in Athens, Greece at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus.
Vanessa-Mae is a well known philanthropist who supports animal welfare groups all over the world. We were invited by her and her coworkers to attend the concert and inform the audience for animal rights and the responsibilities of owning a pet.
Vanessa-Mae listened carefully to what it is that the group actually does and was briefed on the enormous problem Greece has with stray and abused animals. The group would genuinely like to thank Vanessa-Mae, her coworkers and the Music Box Productions company who gave us the opportunity to present our cause and mission.
The Ilioupolis Animal Welfare Union is a recognized, nonprofit organization, and we are often given the opportunity with no cost to advertise our social messages on radio and television stations all over the country. It was great honor and provided enormous help for our cause , that an internationally prominent artist such as Vanessa-Mae played a leading role in this short video spot.
