FYROM PM turns sour on meeting with Tsipras

FYROM PM Zoran Zaev appeared negative to the perspective of an upcoming meeting with Alexis Tsipras.
The Prime Minister of FYROM has estimated that there are currently no prerequisites for a critical meeting with his Greek counterpart.
Indeed, according to Skopje's MIA news agency, Zaev noted that there has been little progress in the contacts between the foreign ministers of the two countries last week in Ohrid, and that is why there is no basis for upgrading the negotiations to the level of prime ministers.
However, according to "Kathimerini", the Skopje prime minister has pointed out that in the near future Foreign Minister Nikolay Dimitrov will meet with the head of the opposition, as well as with the FYROM president, to inform them about the developments in the discussions with Athens.
As for his recent statements - which sparked debate from opposition parties in Greece - that FYROM does not accept the erga omnes name and a change of constitution, Zaev has clarified that there are long standing differences between the two sides that existed from the beginning of the negotiation.
It is noted that Zaev had said over the weekend that if he had a meeting with Alexis Tsipras, it would probably mean that a compromise solution, acceptable to the citizens of both countries, would be possible.
