Yaya Toure returns to Olympiakos
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure arrived in Athens, Sunday afternoon in a private jet to finalise an impressive move to Olympiakos Piraeus.
The Ivory Coast legend ended his eight-year-spell with City at the end of last season and there was great speculation about which club he would play for next, with many Premier League teams reportedly showing some interest in the 35-year-old player. It will be his second stint in the Greek giants after playing for the Piraeus club in 2005-2006 before moving on to bigger European leagues. The Ivorian footballer was received at the airport by Olympiakos officials and immediately left for the club’s offices. He is expected to later watch the team play against Giannina for the Greek Super League.
