Erdogan threatens Cyprus and Greece, again

Recep Tayyip Erdogan once again wore the hat of extremism, railing against Cyprus and Greece, and threatening that if Turkey wanted, it could reach Cyprus and the eastern Mediterranean within a few minutes.

With the Turkish economy in bad shape, Erdogan decided to restore his far-right rhetoric. Over the weekend he was in Azerbaijan for the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Islamic Caucasian Army and returning to Ankara he decided to attack Cyprus, directly, and Greece by association.

Speaking to reporters on the return trip from Baku, the Turkish president stressed that it is a matter of a matter of minutes for the Turkish army to arrive in Cyprus. "We do not have a military base problem in the "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus". He continued by saying that he would not withdraw the Turkish troops from the island. And he has come to accuse the Greek Cypriot side of failing to resolve the Cyprus problem in 2004, with the Annan plan.
