Stefanos Tsitsipas declared Most Improved Player of 2018

Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas was named Most Improved Player of 2018 at the ATP awards announced on Friday.

It was the crowning achievement of 2018 for 20-year-old Tsitsipas, who has had an excellent year since he entered the ATP's ranking in the top 100 in January and then climbed to number 15.
During the year, Tsitsipas was a finalist in Barcelona and reached a masters final at the Rogers Cup in Toronto (in both he was defeated by Rafael Nadal). During the year he played and won Novak Djokovic and reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam (in Wimbledon). He won his first ATP final in Stockholm and became the first Greek tennis player to win a title in the ATP tour. Currently, Tsitsipas is in the semifinals of NextGen ATP Finals in Milan.
