Karamolegos: "My faith saved me"
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
Obviously moved, baked goods industrialist Manolis Karamolegos recounted his ordeal at the hands of abductors for reporters.
He answered all questions simply, and honestly, without revealing details, as investigations into the kidnapping by police are still ongoing.
“I was saved by my faith,” he said, adding “I was thinking about how I would survive and how I would escape from a difficult situation. The strength of my soul helped me.”
At one point he recounted how he felt during his predicament saying, “I was very scared, as any person would be scared, don't wish this even on your worst enemy,”
As to how he convinced his kidnapper to let him go, Mr Karamolegos said “with respect. It wasn't words, it was tears.”
