Thessaloniki proposed for permanent CERN infrastructure

Welcoming the business mission, the chief of CERN's public relations Charlotte Lindberg Warakaulle underlined that "this period is very crucial for collaborations as the list of opportunities for 2019 will open for industrial partners and Central Macedonia's enterprises will have the chance to be included in the list of certified suppliers of the Organisation".

On his part, the deputy-chief of CERN's public relations Manolis Tsesmelis underlined: "We try to buy whatever we need, from the smallest to the biggest item, from our members and Greece clearly has a strong place in this".

The president of Technopolis Thessaloniki Tassos Tzikas said: "we are fighting a battle, however, we have not succeded in persuading the politicians about the new technologies. We are here because the supplies from Greek enterprises are at a low level, even though we have many very capable companies."
