Tsipras planning immediate Prespa Agreement debate to avoid repercussions from mass rally
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
In the last few hours, there is a flood of unconfirmed information, but which is serious to the extent that it is worth noting and following up on. Therefore, we will present it with reservationsa as to veracity.
The Tsipras government is reportedly considering the possibility of bringing the Prespa Agreement to Parliament on Thursday, with the obvious aim to avert the pressure exerted by the rally planned on the issue next Sunday in Athens! The sooner this "hot potato" for Tsipras is over, the better for his government.
The government seems very cramped with the way things are going, as it feels he can not go back for a variety of reasons, both internal and external, but political instinct has perhaps sounded an alarm. The debate on the confidence vote will take one and a half days instead of three and the debate on the draft law on education has been postponed until later.
