Water in the village of Nymphopetra of the Municipality of Volvi has been rendered unsuitable, as there is information that uranium has been detected.
The water company DEYAB informed residents that after a problem that occurred in the borehole of the Nymphopetra-based network, they should not use water for drinking or cooking.DEYAB's announcement was issued on November 23, 2018.
The daily routine of the village residents has become very difficult. According to Star, they use bottled water even to bathe.
At the same time the competent authority is doing drilling to solve the problem.
