From the first light of day, the rescue services again began to intensify efforts to locate four missing persons, when their vehicle was swept by a current at the Geropotamos stream, in the area of Mires.
Throughout the night, 40 firefighters stayed at the site, and from early in the morning hiking teams have begun searching the river where divers are expected to dive and explore some of the places pointed out by residents with great depth and the premise that maybe the vehicle is trapped there.
In addition, an Air Force helicopter is expected to start flying, while the EMAK boat and drone are searching the river, in a section about 16 km all the way to the sea.
It is noted that two sisters, 28 and 20 years old, a 29-year-old husband and their 57-year-old mother were in the car that was swept by the raging waters.
