Minister of Maritime and Island Policy meets US Ambassador

Minister of Maritime and Island Policy Ioannis Plakiotakis met US Ambassador to Greece Geoffrey Pyatt on Monday.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Maritime and Island Policy, "the two countries' relations in the maritime sector are at an excellent point, and there is much room for improvement."
"Multiannual and close co-operation in the areas of mutual interest will continue," the statement concludes.
In a post on Twitter, US Ambassador Pyatt wrote: "Delighted to catch up with Minister of Shipping Plakiotakis for a focused discussion on a key sector of the Greek economy with longstanding ties to the US. We agreed there are great possibilities for even deeper cooperation with the US government, US investors and more."
