Six police officers injured in mass attacks in two incidents.

A total of six police officers were taken on late Sunday night, to 401 Athens General Military Hospital, following two attacks by unknown strangers in the New Philadelphia area.
According to police, the first incident occurred shortly before 23:00, when officers from the DIAS Group stopped four people for search on the Vryoulou Bridge on the Athens - Lamia Highway. Then about 40 people suddenly appeared, attacking police officers and causing damage to their cars while throwing stones at a patrol car that rushed to the spot. Three policemen were injured in the attack.
Shortly after 23:30, a group of about 30 people attacked police officers at the intersection of Dekelia Avenue and Ephesus, injuring three others. Police arrested a man while investigating the whereabouts and arrest of the perpetrators.
