Power restored on the islands of Andros and Tinos
- Written by E.Tsiliopoulos
The power was restored to the islands of Andros and Tinos at around 4:30 on Monday afternoon, the Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operation (HEDNO) announced. Work was continuing to repair isolated localised damage to the islands' networks due to the strong winds, it added.
It said power was restored by putting an independent power plant on Andros back into operation.
The two islands were left without power when the main power lines supplying them were damaged during bad weather on Monday morning.
