An incredible family tragedy occurred Wednesday afternoon in Kifissia with the murder of two women.
It all happened at 18:35 outside a supermarket on 80 Acharnon Street in Kato Kifissia, when a traffic police officer shot and killed his ex-wife and a girlfriend. The two women, about 35 years old, were at that time inside an open-air parking lot in the area's large supermarket.
The alleged perpetrator was arrested and interrogated. The parking lot in Kifissia, where the assassination took place, has been cordoned off by the police.
According to reports so far, the detainee is a 35-year-old police officer serving inNortheast Attica and the victims his wife and a girlfriend.
According to police sources, the cause of the massacre was the differences between the police officer and his ex-wife.
According to the same information, the detainee allegedly shot and killed the two women with his service weapon and said his actions were dictated by family reasons and differences for custody of their children to his colleagues who arrested him. The couple has two young children.
The 35-year-old is being held in the Kifissia Security Department, while the Attica Department of Homicide Crimes is investigating.
