FM Gerapetritis in NY on Tuesday, to meet with UN sec gen Guterres

The next stop of Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis' visit to USA will be the city of New York. On Monday, Gerapetritis will meet in New York with the secretary general of UN Antonio Guterres and on Tuesday he will take part in UN's Security Council Meeting “ The impact of climate change and food security" under the agenda "Maintenance of international peace and security”.
In the context of the promotion of Greece's candidacy as non-permanent member of the Security Council for the period 2025-2026, Gerapetritis will meet with the heads of the permanent representations of the state-member of CARICOM and will also attend a working dinner with the permanent representations of PACIFIC SIDS to which he will present Greece's candidacy priorities.
