Corinthia Dragnet

Twenty four arrest were made after a police sweep in the areas of Vrahati and Nemea, in Corinthia prefecture. During the sweep, police conducted spot checks on 280 persons, 109 vehicles, and 7 stores.
Of the 57 persons originally taken into custody, 24 were arrested. Of these two Roma who are charged with power theft, four for infringements of the sanitation code, two for breaches of road safety, and 16 for being in the country illegally.The latter will be extradited.
Those arrested with face the first instance prosecutor in Corinth.
