Wildfire Outbreak in Halkidiki
This morning, a wildfire flared at Armenistis in Halkidiki at 6:15 a.m.
The flames are still active, and are being battled by Marmaras and Thessaloniki firefighters. Three aircrafts are also trying to control the flames and are flying above the region. It has been reported that the fire may have resulted after lightning struck the area. The Fire Brigade stated that the outbreak has not threatened any populated districts yet.
