More and more households and businesses are being crushed by the vice-grip of high prices, as price increases on electricity, fuel and raw materials are dragging up prices on all basic food products.

Today, Deputy Development Minister Gerasimos Giakoumatos cautioned bread bakers to follow new mandates that require bread to be weighed prior to selling, according to reports.

The multi- bill tendered to parliament foresees fifty changes based on the OECD toolkit concerning consumers and functioning market competition. The bill will be voted in on Sunday.
