The first project to be completed in Europe after the war in Ukraine began, which paves the way for the independence of the Old Continent from Russian gas, is expected to be presented by the governments of Greece and Bulgaria this afternoon.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG on Tuesday announced the start of operations of a 2 km section of the pipeline in Greece between the Evros river and the Kipoi compressor station.

The scenario of the two gas pipelines – TAP and Turkish Stream- which are expected to cross the Balkans in the near future, interconnecting is, according to the expert from the Russian company Sperbank, Andrei Gromadin, a possibility Moscow could consider in the future.
