Mount Pelion and the city of Volos are ready to safely welcome and host visitors during the coming winter season as the damaged infrastructure at the various tourist destinations of the region has been restored after the disastrous floods that struck the area in September.
The Minister of Rural Development Lefteris Avgenakis will be in Thessaly again from Tuesday, in whose presence sectoral meetings will be held per product, so that together with the producers who have been affected, the next measures to support producers and restore agricultural production in the region can be specified.
It was another difficult night for Volos after the city and wider area were hit by the second catastrophic natural disaster in 20 days, adding to accumulated problems from floods, mud, damaged infrastructure and the despair of thousands of people in the city and its suburbs.
