Fundraiser for Athens Square Park at Flo Restaurant in Astoria

The committee of Athens Square Park, located in Astoria, Queens, NY, had a fundraising event at Flo Restaurant. This even was organized in order to help raise funds for the new statue of Sophocles, which is to join others in further adorning this park with its themed Hellenic culture.
It was announced that up until now, the committee has raised $ 88,000 and that they are very close to their $ 90,000 goal for this project.
