The Pancyprian Choir of New York celebrates 20 years of existence with its upcoming spring concert "Όμορφη και παράξενη πατρίδα", led by the accomplished Cypriot singer Doros Demosthenous and under the music/artistic direction of our Conductor Phyto Stratis. Mr. Stratis' dedication to musical excellence and his broad range of musical presentation, has brought the choir to a level of excellence with unique concerts and collaborative opportunities. The choir became a reality in 1996 through the sponsorship of the Pancyrpian Association of America and gained prominence under the direction of its first conductor, Dr. Constantinos Yiannoudes.
The Pancyprian Choir, is composed of volunteer singers with the desire to participate more fully in their musical and cultural heritage and to be the voice of hope, for freedom and justice for the struggle of the Cypriot people!! With its various concerts, it has established itself as one of the leading vocal ensembles in the New York area and gained the admiration of the President of Cyprus, Mr. Nicos Anastasiades and His Eminence Archbishop Demetrios of America.
