Maria Menounos' New Health & Fitness Book Released

  • Written by

Greek-American TV personality Maria Menounos promoted her new book: EveryGirl's Guide to Diet and Fitness in New York City last week.

The 36-year-old correspondent's publication was released last Tuesday and she has been actively publicizing it around the Big Apple. It focuses on loosing weight in a healthy regime, through a Mediterranean diet.

The author inspires readers to eat "simpler, healthier and smarter", which has been Menounos' own personal method to stay fit in an appropriate way. She chronicles her own weight loss; she shed forty pounds and went from a size fourteen to a size two.

The author used to become sick often and have low energy, after unsuccessful attempts at exercise diets and fads. She used to be unmotivated and didn't have the finances, energy, or time to get in shape. Over the course of a year, the Greek-American correspondent developed a diet, exercise and weight loss plans that work.

Tennis pro Serena Williams described the motivational book as, "I love Maria's approach to health and fitness. Her tips are easy to follow and she proves you don't have to avoid some of your favorite foods in order to be fit. I recommend this book to anyone trying to get a jumpstart on a healthy lifestyle!"

At the Trina Turk boutique in Manhattan where she held a book launch event, the Greek-American was presented with a birthday cake, as she turned 36 yesterday. On Friday, the TV host was featured on The View and Good Morning America, to discuss her new book.

Amazon.com describes EveryGirls's Guide to Diet and Fitness as: "It's not merely a weight-loss book. It's a guide to help you get fit, feel healthy, be productive, and embark on a longer, happier, healthier life!".
