Hellenic Football Federation could lend money to their employees!

  • Written by

Although Greece is suffering for more than seven years from the financial crisis, the wages of HFF's employees remain very high, since there is not even one under 2.000 euros thanks to the agreement from 2014 until 2017. That's the reason why, along with the working stability, that many Union's presidents are trying to have their relatives being hired there, with the recent example of Manolis Palaskas from Karditsa Union.

In Article 14, entitled "social benefits", there are a series of provisions on money loans, financial help and aids for severe cases such as "health problems", but also for cases involving two-day excursions, staff vouchers, meals, goods and services, along with loans for workers' needs.

Also, in Article 9, entitled "voluntary benefits - moral compensation" is predicted that the workers who are doing their job above the average level, without letting the quality drop, may be granted a prize (bonus) in the end of the month, the amount of which will be decided by some standards. For the same reasons, they may be also granted an annual bonus.

The high-level executives of the Hellenic Football Federation, such as Executive Secretary/Responsible for the Staff Pafsanias Papanikolaou, Christos Ifantis, Giannis Farfarelis and others are well-paid and their jobs are strictly protected by personal deals with the Association.

Finally, there are some very interesting limitations specified in the contract about confidentiality, regarding to the subject of Hellenic Football Federation's workers' job, the possible leaks and much more.

In Article 20, entitled "rules of good behavior", is stated that every employee must "observe secrecy about the affairs and operations of the Hellenic Football Federation, not to publish articles and news related to issues of HFF without prior written approval from their foreman".

The "violation of secrecy" (for example, dissemination to third parties of confidential data or information brought to the employee during his work, bribing, actions that affect the reputation and name of the Hellenic Football Federation, disseminating false information liable to harm the HFF etc) is considered to be a disciplinary offense, according to Article 23 of the contract.
