Tentoglou wins long jump gold, Karalis bronze in pole vault, at World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2024

Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou won long jump gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships Glasgow 2024 with his jump of 8.22 meters, and defended the title he won two years ago in Belgrade.
Mattia Furlani won silver medal, even though he also had a performance of 8.22 meters. However, Tentoglou had a better second jump compared to the 19-year-old Italian (8.19m vs. 8.10m).
Jamaican Carey McLeod finished third with a jump of 8.21 meters.
Greek athlete Emmanouil Karalis won the bronze medal in the pole vault event at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Glasgow, Scotland on Sunday. Karalis cleared 5.85 meters on his first attempt, bettering his own personal best for the year (5.72 meters) and guaranteeing himself a place on the podium.
