With Greece’s 2019 cruise figures surpassing those of the previous year with a 10 percent increase, Greek Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis is optimistic regarding the prospects for 2020.
In view of forecasts for a 30 percent drop in cruise tourism to Greece in 2017, South Aegean Governor George Hatzimarkos recently met with Cosco management at the Piraeus Port Authority, to discuss ways to address the issue.
Cruise tourism officials anticipate the number of passengers visiting Greece to increase by about 15% in 2015, in line with the expected tourism figures spike.
