  • Written by

The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) has heightened its border protection, so that tons of migrants trying to enter from Greece can't.

FYROM's governmental administration declared today a state of emergency concerning its borders, and stationed extra armed forces at them. The migrants were stuck between Greece and FYROM in Gevgelija, FYROM. The thousands of displaced persons have prepared to take trains en route to Hungary, from the border of Serbia.

FYROM is one of the primary transit trails for migrants coming from Greece, that are looking to enter EU nations with more opportunities. An approximated 39,000 individuals that mainly originate from Syria, which is two times more than July, have traveled through FYROM.
