MH 370 Drone Search's Predicted Timeline

  • Written by

Today, Malaysian officials confirmed that the underwater Malaysia Airlines Flight 370's drone search, should be completed within a week.

Acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein commented, "The narrowing of the search today and tomorrow is at a critical juncture. I appeal to everybody around the world to pray and pray hard that we find something to work on over the next couple of days".

A senior Malaysian aviation official reported to CNN, that experts have confirmed the airplane's March 8th, Vietnamese airspace deviation. The jetliner ascended 39,000 feet after turning left, and upheld its altitude for approximately twenty minutes across the Malaysian Peninsula, before its final descent. However, the reason for these actions remains undetermined. It has also been revealed that the aircraft held four emergency locator transmitters, which are devised to communicate its location, via satellite.

Today's rescue quest across Perth, Australia, involved twelve ships and eleven military aircrafts, scanning approximately 20,000 square miles. Search officials have stated that ship and air searches will be ceased shortly. U.S. National Transportation Safety Board Managing Director Peter Goelz claimed, "There's a lot of resources being expended there; it's turned up nothing".
