Athenians will have a chance to enjoy a medley of the world’s funniest and most popular cat video clips – while helping to save stray cats’ lives!

The Greek crisis, in the words of one senior EU diplomat, “the elephant in the room”, the BBC reports.

At the same time as Greek PM Alexis Tsipras will be in Berlin on Monday for a crucial meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, three of the government’s top ministers will be heading in the opposite direction, to China for official contacts in Beijing.

A meeting with focus on Greece will take place on Thursday evening in Brussels after the end of the EU Summit between Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and other European top officials.
